Week five was a short week for me! It was so nice.
On Monday, I spent the first half of the morning continuing my research for corporate fundraising, but asked for a new task after lunch because I felt like there was nothing else I could add to my 20 page report. I felt like I didn’t know the area well enough to research appropriate businesses. (And I had run out of creative Google searches). My supervisor didn’t have anything else for me to do, so I spent the rest of the day working with the event planning team. At first, I worked on data entry, then I got to research dance schools in London which was really fun.
On Tuesday, I participated in a brainstorm session for a summer street party that is being held by the hospice and wrote two press releases before lunch. After lunch I researched A-List celebrities that have potential to be our sponsors.
On Wednesday, I researched several trusts and ended up being able to write to six of them. Five of them were sent off, and the other one didn’t quite make it to the mail in time to be sent off, so I was told it would be sent off on Thursday.
I was given Thursday off so I could prepare for my trip to Dublin, and Good Friday is a bank holiday! Easter Monday is also a bank holiday, so I got to say hello to my five day weekend!
